			Meeting Place An important part of Aboriginal culture is spending time together. Women often sit around the camp fires to cook bush foods and share stories. This is how our traditions are kept alive and passed down through generations.



		Desert Kangaroo and Emu Kangaroo journeys across the desert. Searching for food to eat, following trails. Emu leaves tracks that lead to nest where eggs are laid to wait to hatch.




			Whale Dreaming on Turtle Reef Turtle swims through blue reefs searching for food. Small reef fish play in coral and seaweed, darting & swaying with the rhythm of the sea. Whale and Dolphin live in harmony in the deep ocean, dolphins play between the waves while whales sing their songs to signal each other.



	Cave Kangaroo Caves show paintings of x-ray kangaroo. many years before white man came stories are told in the cave etchings of the Dreamtime.




			Emu Walk Emu’s journey into the bush, looking & scrounging for food. Their journey is slow as there are many grubs and plant life to find along the way.



	Camp Connections Plenty of food & water to drink. Camp is plentiful ‘till the season has ended. Then time to move to the next camp where all is plentiful again.

Desert Journey

Camps in the dry red desert connect to each other. Many journeys are made in between. many long, many short. Imprints of stories left behind tell the story to our families.
